Visual Analysis (Single-Subject Designs): Convincing Evidence

Description of the method of analyses used to determine whether the intervention condition improved relative to baseline phase (e.g. visual analysis, computation of change score, mean difference): Visual inspection was used to determine the overall effectiveness of the intervention for promoting positive peer interactions.

Results in terms of within and between phase patterns: The data patterns associated with each of the three students indicated the presence of a functional relation for both behaviors. Specifically, Brian’s frequency of inappropriate behaviors decreased in the video feedback phase as compared to the previous phase with similar patterns observed for appropriate behaviors, though in the opposite direction. These same patterns were observed for Chris. The data associated with Andy also improved considerably once the video feedback phase was implemented.
